7 week old Pomeranian puppy

Diva playing with her blue puppy.

My boyfriend and I just got a 7 week old female Pomeranian a week ago (She was 6 weeks old then). The first 20-30 minutes we had her she seemed so sweet. Then she suddenly started growling. At first I was puzzled. Noone had moved her she was laying on my chest being petted like she had the previous 20-30 minutes when she was content. Well as the night progressed she became more and more aggressive. She constantly growls/bites/barks at me, my boyfriend, or anyone else she comes into contact with. The only time she does not act as ill tempered is when she is sleepy. I considered maybe she was just a playful puppy until I took her to the vet yesterday and one of the nurses was talking to her and made the comment she was mean and she would put she was a biter in her folder. No one at the vet understood how a puppy so tiny (she only weighs 11 ounces) could be so mean. Anytime we move her because we do not want her to do it and tell her no she growls and gets mad. She will bark and growl and continuously fight us to do whatever she wants to do. I do not know what to do or why she is acting like this. Does anyone have any tips or know why she is acting this way?

Same Thing! Aggressive Puppy
by: Anonymous

I have an 8 week old puppy who during the first few days was nice and lovable but then she began snarling, growling and trying to bite...and she is the pit bull of Pomeranian's! She already drew blood once from my hand! Basically I have found that she is doing this because I am stopping her from doing what she wants to do. Everything that I have read thus far on the internet states that I have to show her I am the "Alpha Dog" not her. If anyone wants to talk, give or trade tips, email me at Chris_MC1952 at Yahoo.

Your Puppy

6 weeks old?? Where did you buy this puppy? No dog should be taken away from its mother before 8 weeks and then you should keep its exposure to outside germs by keeping it home until it is about 14 to 16 weeks.
