I brought my 8 week old teacup Pomeranian puppy home two days ago from a pet shop and she won't eat. I am worried about her. What should I do?

Our Pomaranien mix Buster
by: G.C. Florida

We got our little angel from the animal shelter here.where we live in Florida. Buster is beautiful. But we took him to the vet.got antibiotic shot and fluid therapy. When he got home he ate fine now he wont eat. We are worried because wr love dogs. We gave him rice chicken beef puppie food. Now he wont eat again. We are worried he is around our 4 year old German shepard and they love each other. What do we do. He has to go back to the shelter for round 2 of booster shots. Can someone help tell us what may ne wrong thank you. Jan. 28 2012

Vet time

Take her to the vet.

Pet stores are terrible places to buy animals. The kind of breeder that would sell the animal to a retail outlet is the kind of breeder that doesn't care AT ALL for the breed or the individual animal, only for making money and you can be sure that your dog will have worms (if you're lucky) and something more serious (if you're not).

In the future either do the research and find a responsible breeder or rescue a pet from a rescue organization or the local shelter.

get to the vet
by: Jackie NC

get your baby to the vet, it could be nothing, but dont take any chances, there could be an underlying cause of the pup not eating, they are too small and get dehydrated and hypoglycemic. Dont mess around, get to the vet!
