Can anyone share your outcomes to your previous posts? We are in the same boat. 9 yr old healthy female. The dad is smaller. She is about 3 weeks. Tried to get her spayed, but they didn't have room at the time. I hate the idea of aborting pups, and I know I could find good homes for them. I just want to know if your females came out okay. Please respond.

Help, 9 year old pom got bred!
by: Anonymous

I wrote that my 9 year old pom just got bred by accident. I know everyone is thinking, why didn't I get her spayed before this. Well, it was a whole bunch of reasons, most of all that I have been battling breast cancer for the last 6 years and money has always been an issue. She had a beautiful litter no problem when she was two. She has got incredible bloodlines in her pedigree and I kept thinking I was going to find the perfect stud and have one more litter. Then time kept rolling on and it just never happened. Getting her spayed was always the last thing on the list unfortunately. The male we all thought was no good and uncapable of breeding. He has never shown any interest. So, I have heard that an abortion is harder on the dog than giving birth. So, should I or shouldn't I? If she can get through this and stay healthy, we end up with some incredibly bred, gorgeous whites, but if???? Can she get through this? Help!

I also have a 9 year old po that just got breed by my male by accident. I am also worried. She has a litter when she was 1.5 years old no problem, but has never been bred again since then. She is very healthy and I am wondering if she will have any problems.

How big is the father? If he is smaller than her, then most likely she won't have any problems. If she has no problems, and she is healthy and active, at 9 years old, she is only a little over half her life expectancy....
