I have a male pom puppy about 8 weeks old. Sometimes out of the blue he starts growling and attacking my feet and hands. Why and what can I do to correct this?
My pom is adorable but he's so demanding. I don't let him get away with things but he's just so "bad'' - he jumps on everyone that comes to our house. I'm constantly trying to get him to behave. I'v always had a dog but this little one is a real imp.

my pomeranian does the exact same thing. she will come and bite at your feet while you walk. once i stood in my bathroom and suddenly my toe hurt and she had randomly just bit it. she did it a lot more before so now its just her kind of pretend biting. i made her stop with the biting and attacking by putting her on her back and keeping her there until she stopped squirming.

Aggressive pom by: Sue H
Sounds like he's just wanting to play, but if he gets too rough w/ you, you have to take control..The previous comments are great..I found w/ my female pom, it was really hard to reprimand her when she was little, cause she was so darn cute, but you have to let them know who's the boss..You, not them!..Poms can be very stubborn..Get him alot of toys to play with also, with different textures..Cloth squeeky toys, rubber toys, hard chew toys, etc..My pom has her toybox, and picks the one she wants, depending on her mood at the time..

Growling and attacking feet and hands by: Mary
Grab him saying NO and then turn him over on his back pinning him down at the neck with your two fingers spread aside of his neck and growl back at him. Then keep him there until he relaxes and accepts that you are in control. This is what my vet told me to do and it worked great.
