Angel - Beagle / Pomeranian aka Pomeagle

(Massachusetts )
Owning a Pomeagle is a delight. She is extremely smart, looks more like a Beagle in coat length . Her face at times looks like a Pomeranian and at other times the Beagle cuteness comes out. She is alert, affectionate, intelligent, friendly ( loves kids ) , likes to snuggle at nap time and runs like the wind. She is now 20 weeks old and knows commands such as : sit, shake ( give paw ), sit pretty, lay down, take a nap ( laying on ther side as in play dead ), speak , stay, crawl, dance ( stand on hind legs and twirl ) wave, high five, roll over and drop it. - all for a cookie, of course.. lol .. Each new command only took her about 2 - 3 days to learn. Each day I repeat all fo the commands 3 times a day. She is potty trained and crate trained. A good watchdog might I add. When I say " enough - no barking " she stops with that sad look on her face as if to say .. but Maaaaaaaaaaaaaa, let me do my job. She has more of a Pomeranian bark with the deep sound of the Beagle without the howling , thank goodness. My neighbor's are happy about that ... lol . She does not like the hose outside, barks terribly at it. Have to break her of that as baths will be outdoors next summer. She does have the beagle nose, smells EVERYTHING. Eats everything also from bugs to earthworms, sticks , moss...
In short, she has to be watched until she matures to a DOG . She is a lot of work, because she is a puppy , as I am in my mid 50's but she will be well worth it once the puppy stage is over. She has not chewed up anything she wasn't supposed to . Each time I see her with HER toys I say " good girl " If I have to raise a puppy someday in my future I would get another Pomeagle -- Beagle ( Mom ) / Pomeranian ( Dad ) mix. They are great little dogs. When full grown she will weigh, according to the Veteranarian..about 15 - 20 lbs.
