All dogs bark

I don't know if it makes a difference that it's a female but all dogs bark. It's when it becomes excessive it's generally contributed to the owner reinforcing bad behavior, since poms are so little when they bark for what ever reason the first reaction is to pick them up tell them it's ok or tell them no. The act of picking them up is telling them their good and reassures the bad behavior. This can cause "little dog syndrome". When you train your little dog ask yourself if this was a large breed would i be ok with this behavior, or would i be picking it up?

Yes! I have a 1 1/2 year old pom and she barks at everyone!
