Bear, as he grows

I got Bear for Christmas 2008, he was 12 weeks old at the time..what a character ! I have never seen a little puppy to be so smart !
House breaking was a bit difficult, because he was also stubborn !
He has just turned a year old on September 15th...that's my boy ! He has only proven to get smarter, but he does still have a few bad habits we are still trying to break him off (like barking and carrying on, and begging for food everytime we eat !)
He doesn't have one stuffed animal left, he has torn them all to pull out the squeekers and stuffing..I have emptied them out completely, and now he just runs around with the "pelts" in his teeth..we have bought him more sturdy toys, but...if he can't break it, he doesn't want to play with it !

Update On Bear

Bear is now a year old, On October 12, 2009 he went and got neutered. I have heard it said that when you have your dog neutered that it also helps them to calm down a little. Ha ha....not true, because it's been 7 days since his "operation" he is healing wonderfully, and he is twice as hyper as he ever was !! He's still a good boy though, and I love him alot ! Still couldn't imagine life without him.

What a cute smart dog. Our Pom/Sheltie mix loves a ball to play with. We finally taught her to bring it back and it's one thing she don't try to tear up. She also tears up stuffed toys and pulls the squeakers out but she is such a love to have around. I'd say Bear was a good Christmas present for sure.
