The Black Pomeranian Dog

As the name indicates, the black Pomeranian dog is without hairs of any other color (i.e., white, red or brown) and is usually a coal black color. The undercoat may be slightly lighter in color, especially prior to shedding.

The guard hairs are uniform in color, although dogs who spend time outdoors may have some lightening or "sunburning". The points (eye rims, nose, lips and pads) are black.

Do you have a photo of a black Pom to share? Send it in and we'll gladly attribute the photo to you. We, and our future visitors thank you!
