Breeding female 1st time!

by Danielle

Hey there!
Is it safe to breed my female pom for the first time at 6 months old? It is her 1st heat (cycle). I really want to! Are there any problems I should look out for?
She is going to go in heat in 2-3 months, I am planning ahead.

How ignorant could you be??? Breeding a six month old dog? Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

my pomeranian puppy is only 8mths and is 22 days into her pregency and im really scared for her i had know idea she was in heat and would have kept her and my male seperate if i would have saw any sign besides them getting stuck together butt to butt lol. so my advice would be skip her first, ive heard that my pups puppies may not make it or my pup may not make it and im really worried for her. ill update on how her labor and pups go im expecting around march 18 hope i have good news!

Breeding

Hi there, I bred my pomeranian in her second heat at almost a year and a half. I think that at 6 months is too early because your puppy is still a puppy and hasn't fully developed. If I were you I would wait until over a year. Goodluck
