I have a rescue Pom who is six years old. I've had her since February 2011. She's in the vet now for what may be pyrometra. My question is generic: what are the breeding years for a pom? We did not spay her when we got her from the rescue organization as we thought we might want one litter off her before we did. However, spaying may be the best choice to maek her better, and, if at six, she is past breeding years, then it makes no sense not to spay her now.
