Poms and hot weather
by: Indi

i have a Pom and i live on the south coast of Australia.
It gets to 45Degrees sometimes in the summer.
We are in a townhouse, and he is fine here.
Just make sure your pom gets lots of shade, water, and keep him in cooler areas of the house (where there is MILD air-conditioning) if possible. you don't want to freeze him :)

Hot weather for Poms
by: Vicki

I have been researching the same subject as I am considering moving to Western Australia from New Zealand. They have breeders in Western Australia and I know it gets very hot there.
From what I have researched, the Poms double coat insulates them from the heat as well as the cold, you have to provide plenty of water as this keeps them cool, but if they can survive the Auzzie heat then it shouldn't be a problem where you are.
