Our dog is a very loyal loving dog. He needs to be accepted by everyone. So if you are new in our home - he sits on your lap - to be sure you fall in love with him. He sleeps a lot during the day and roams from room to room at night making each child and parent think that he has slept w/them all night. Our pomchi doesn't bark much - only when someone comes to the door and only briefly. He can sit out back w/other dogs barking and never bark... He loves people and needs to be in their lap and being touched by them - sleeps w/all of us and he hates other animals. We have tried several times to socialize him w/other animals - he thinks he can take on the big dog - he is 9 lbs! He will tolerate an occasional female dog - but never the male dog. He is mostly potty trained. If we are gone too long - he will look for something -like a mat on the floor to pee on - so we keep things off the floor. Of course if you make sure he gets out - he doesn't have an accident. He hates the cold and hates water.... especially his bath. I took him kayaking once - he shook the whole time! And he never touched the water.... My favorite thing about our dog is that we all think that we are his favorite and we try to win his affection and he does a good job making us all feel loved. When you are sad - he senses it and stays by your side.
