Dallas feeling neglected
Dallas is a Pomeranian Yorkie mix and we call her a "Porkie". She is 16 years old, blonde/apricot in color, weighs in at 5 pounds which is 1 pound more than she was for the first 14 years. In her youth 1-10 years she was very active, very much like a puppy all the time. She slowed down in her later years and in the last two years she sleeps most of the time. Two years ago she came down with copd and an enlarged heart so she has to take two pills each day costing $34.00 a month. When we had her groomed we had them groom her like a Cocker Spaniel, hair short on her back, qnd trimed her beard and chest, we left her hair long everywhere else. In the photo I have sent her beard had been cut off but usually we left it like the Yorkie. In this photo is my daughter Desirae.
Dallas has taken on the look of both of her parents making her a true Porkie. Traits of the Yorkie: long hair, ears, and face.
Traits of the Pomeranian: tail, legs, and posture.
Dallas has always been the sweetest member of our family, she is tolerant of other dogs and cats, but never really liked children of any age. She has always like the males in the family best, but will cuddle up to anyone showing her attention. If you were to look up the definition of lap dog in the dictionary I would not be surprised to see her photograph.
