Difficulty standing up on wood floors

My pom is 6 years old and for the last month she's having problems standing up when laying on the wood floors. She's never had a problem before and I've not changed the method of cleaning the floors. I don't notice a problem getting up from rugs.
I cut any hairs growing on her paws and got her nails cut. This helped some. Her nails are long but the groomer says they can't cut them shorter.
Am wondering if weight is a factor.
Any advice would be appreciate. thanks
