Foxy is Hot to Trot

Let me start by saying Foxy is currently 5 years old (almost 6) she was born on October 18th 2004 and shortly there after (December 4th) Foxy was coming home to me.
It was my first Christmas with my bf (now fiance') and he knew how much I loved pomeranians although I never mentioned getting one, just because I was in college (with roommates) living at an apartment that did not allow pets; but one day (December 4th to be exact) he told me he was taking me to get my christmas present; it was December 4th so I was a little confused why he was taking me to get my present so early but I went along with it and as we started driving he told me what it was....we were going to pick out my very own pomeranian, there were actually two left from the litter, a little black male pom and a beautiful sable female; he of course wanted to get the male but I was drawn to the little girl, she was the most precious thing I had ever seen and I just couldnt get enough of her but halfway home Jairus said, will you drive I want to hold her so I caved in and drove so he could play with her...well right as we were pulling in to his apartment she peed all over him, i told him that's what he got for taking her away from her momma :-)
I wont bore you with all of the many memories and fun and crazy times we've had with this little girl but I will tell you that I carried her around in my arms (like a baby) ALL OF THE TIME; and it's the craziest thing but this pom will sit and beg you to pick her up, she would be happy if you could carry her like a baby all of the time, I of course dont mind, i LOVE it bc she wants to be with me all the time, and not in an annoying way, she will jump up on the couch and lay with me while i'm working on the computer, her head will fall just beside where my hands sit on the computer and when I go outside and sit at our patio set she will sit in the chair beside me and wont make a peep, she's happy just being around me. Now that's LOVE :-)
I will admit, she does have one short fall, she loves to bark and it's def something I wishI could get her to stop doing (she barks when she sees me coming down the steps or when she hears something that in the most minue way sounds like someone knocking at the door....Anyone know how to break an old dog from this terrible habit
