Foxy Lady/Chewey

After two years looking for a small rescue dog to suit our family, we had just about given up. My son and I were at a market where a Menonite farmer had a bunch of puppies. As soon as my son held 8wk old Foxy- it was love. She is a Yoranian and is brilliant! She was crate trained in a week and has been the true companion for a 12 year old boy. Even at 8wks old she had a huge personality and tried to dominate every big dog that come her way. My son and I call her Foxy, but my husband calls her Chewey because she reminds him of Chewbaka from Starwars and when they play tug of war, she makes a similar noise! She is 6months now and big for the breed at 11 lbs, but all muscle as she loves to go for long walks and runs like a rabbit at the dog park. Foxy is loving and playful and wonderfully quiet- very unlike a small breed. She has found her voice, but only barks occaisionally and is very protective of her family already. Her hair is all over the place, although I brush her everyday, and she doesn't shed. We love our Foxy Lady/Chewey Yoranian and can't remember what it was like not to have her in our lives.
