Ginger - PomChi

by Bill Balken

She was four years old and I just lost her today. She was struck by a car in front of my house and I'm just sick and heartbroken. She was a very beautiful dog that made my day, everyday I woke up.

So so so sorry!

I just had to put my dog to sleep last week and I've also been heartbroken. I seem to get better everyday, but I miss my buddy like crazy! Last week I went on Walmart.com and made one of their photo blankets with a bunch of picture of my doggy. It came in the mail today and it's so awesome. I figured it would be a great way to always remember him and he'll always have a special spot on the couch.

Thank You for your kind words. I just recently retired from the Kern County Fire Dept. and was looking forward to spending more time with Ginger. I always had Ginger out front of our home on a leash or dog run because as you know they can be quite adventurous. I was painting the front of my house and thought I would just let Ginger have some freedom for a few minutes. We live on a culdesac street with very little and slow moving traffic...I still can't believe she is gone. I have been looking for a pup to fill this huge hole in my life. Of course I've been trying to find an orange Pomchi and I know that Ginger can never be replaced but I just can't help it.
Once again, Thank You very much for your words, it really means a lot to me.

so Sorry

My heart goes out to you. I also had one that got struck by a car but I was fortunate that she survived.I know how your heart is breaking. It may be soon but your Ginger would not want to see her master grieve so terribly. I suggest you get another that NEEDS all the love you have bundled inside you. You need it and the new doggie needs it also. Without you some poor doggie out there is suffering for lack of love and may even be put to death for lack of an owner. Open your heart and you will find there is love waiting to flow in. Never forget your Ginger and cherrish all the moments you had with her but remember...she NEVER wanted to see you sad about anything...did she..again..open your heart and love and healing will flow into it...Mary
