Gizmo, 10 yr old Pom

Our 10 yr old Pom Gizmo is very picky about the food he eats. When he isn't feeling well, he will only drink water. Right now he is having trouble getting up and walking. We know he has arthritis and is getting stiff in his hips. All he wants to do is lay around on his little bed. This came on a couple of months ago. I took him to the vet and he has been on glucosamine and anti-inflammatory supplements since that time. He does not like the anti-inflammatory so I will have to call the vet and try something else. If you have any other suggestions let me know. Thanks.

My 17 year old pom was on glucosamine and chrondroitin as well as shark cartilage, she was run over by a car which resulted in hip surgery when she was 4 and had bolts and screws in her hip causing her to limp and walk on three of the four legs...especially when the weather got cold...once I started giving her human strength ( pharmacy bought) supplements once daily it worked a miracle!! took a couple of months to kick in but she lasted all her years with no more limping!!!
