Mr Fox

My 11 1/2 yo diabetic (on vetsulin)pomeranian won't eat or drink, just sleeps, at times looks like he is dead. I drop water into his mouth with a dropper. After new year's - he got like this and lasted until I took him to the Vet...xrays (normal), lab work (normal),on antibiotic...he was up and around after 1/2 afternoon and all night hydration..took him home over weekend was discharged Monday. Now it is Wednesday (2 days after being discharged), still on antibiotics and vetsulin...the Vets had no answer for what was wrong with him then and now lies on my bed. Is he dying? Mr Fox's mom

So glad for the recovery Mr. Fox has had. I know they become just like your babies.

Mr Fox

Last night Mr Fox got up about 8 pm, looked around as if he didn't know where he was at, saw me and walked to the edge of the bed and looked at me...saying pick me and put me on the floor, I did, and he took off to the kitchen where his food and water are. Ate and drank water, went to the door, saying I have to go out. I let him out, followed him. He went about his business and came back in and went to the living room jumped on the sofa and sat. Today, the same thing. He seems to be doing ok.

I have to say Mr Fox was a stray and I found him (or he found me) 5 November 2000 and has been with me ever since. Mr. Fox came down with diabetes about 2 years ago, lost most of his fur, was blinded because of the diabetes but did have eye surgery for cataracts. He sees real good. I love him very much, he is like my own child and he is spoiled rotten. I hope he continues to do well.

I'm so sorry your dog is sick. Seems if the vet doesn't know what is wrong you are at a loss. I hope he gets better. You might try with an eye dropper putting gator aid into him. It would help with the dehydration if he'll swollow it.
