Help - female pom just had pups

My female pomeranian just had puppies yesterday and she doesn't seem to know how to care for them. She actually had 10 but we lost a couple. We didn't know she was pregnant because we have tried to breed her when she was younger and nothing ever came of it so we were about to get her spayed. I guess our male pom got her and also our chihuahua who we knew was pregnant and she has 7 puppies of her own. The both had puppies within a couple days. How do I help my Pomeranian deal with her pups?

It sounds like you need to call your vet first of all. They will either want to see mum and pups or you will most lilkey need to get formula and bottles and feed each pup in between putting them back to the mother and showning them how to suckle from mum as well. They need feeding every couple of hours. You must act fast. Keep them warm, safe and draft free in a whelping box with mum. If mum doesn't want anything to do with them you will have to do it yourself. But try getting mum involved with encouragement, support and confidence. Always have sterolised hands and bottles.
