help with feeding

Hello.
We got a lovely POM from an animal rescue centre yeasteday. He is about 12 months old. He is not eating, he ate a few nuts yesterday (chicken fish flavour), and drank some water.. Today he ate nothing, I went to stores and got 3 different bags of dog nuts, he smells them but does not eat them. He does play with me, and did drink water today.
The lady at the rescue centre mentioned he got gravy with potatoes with nuts, and was a fussy eater when he was first at the rescue centre. Apparently the reason he was in the centre was the owner changed work habits and could not leave him alone for such a long time.

Any advice in coaxing him to eat.

We live in Ireland so the brands you mention may not be here.

Hi everyone.
Thanks for the tip Katleen.
We have him eating, he started to eat the next day, and he is fantastic. I was really worried about him when he was not eating but now so happy to see him in good form.

I am delighted to have found this site.

feed em!

not a long term solution, but until you find some nuggets that your pup will eat, try mixing 50/50 browned ground beef with cooked white or brown rice. it was recommended by our vet for a dog with a stomach issue and might work for an "in-between" diet. best wishes!
