Is this a Pom trait?

Our 10 month old tri-color Pom has just this last week developed a curious behavior. She stands and shuffles her feet, making little purring or growling noises, when she's lost a toy under the sofa, when she doesn't like something that's somewhere it shouldn't be, when she wants us to do something like let her out, etc. I'm just curious to know if this is something that is a behavior trait that Poms tend to have. She's become quite persistent with it and does it all the time now. Thanks!

Pomeranian Shuffle
by: Anonymous

Yes, my Pomeranian does this whenever he wants attention. We laugh at him and call it his "bull dance." The more we laugh and make comment, the more he does it. He is a little clown and a complete joy. If you look on YouTube you will see a number of other Pomeranians doing this and they call it a "moondance," as in Michael Jackson. So, evidently, a lot of Pomeranians do this little bounce/shuffle.

beautiful dog

Geez, your pom is so beautiful. I have a pom/sheltie mix and she is so sweet. I don't think mine has the behavior you mention for yours but mine loves to play. We have a doggie toy box in the living room and she goes right to it and pulls out her favorite toys and brings them to me to throw; she also likes to hold on to something and pull, then she'll growl and yank hard.
