Just curious but why do Pomeranians Spin?

I have a pomeranian chihuahua mix and also another medium sized dog and whenever I let them out and they actually listen and come back in the house when they are called my little pom mix spins and spins its like she knows she did the right thing. She randomly spins around too. I think it is adorable but I just wondered what it means. Are they excited or is it some kind of play?

I have a toy pom and she has been the best dog ever. She spins to answer yes. I can ask her a series of questions and when she hears what she wants, she spins to the right. I've never seen her spin to the left. I don't think they do?

I also have a chihuahua pom mix and he does the same thing when he gets excited. If I say "you hungry?" he does it, and when we first take him out for a walk the lead ends up twisted because he spins around so much. He's just happy and excited.

That is just a Pom trait, they do that when they're excited.
