Kahlua

I have a now almost 4 month old Shiranian (born 9/20/2009) We got her when she was about 9 weeks old. She can be VERY stubborn and bad, but with that face you just can't get mad!
Originally we had known about the puppies when they were born but decided not to get one. Later when we thought about it more, we wished we would've reserved one. Then it so happened a few days later, one got returned. (They claimed the first family was allergic to her) We brought her home and just couldn't resist her. She is the absolute cutest! All of our friend's and family can't get over how cute she is either. (In the words of one of my friends "too freakin adorable.") We love her to death, though there are 'those' days...
We're still working on potty training (for 2 months!) Which is getting me and my family frustrated. She's gotten now to the point that, AFTER she does her business in the house, THEN she runs to the door! She knows it's bad. She's very very active. Bites A LOT and nips. It was cute when she was little but she's getting a harder grip now that she's older. When we try to break her of the nipping, nothing works. If you say "NO" to her, she barks back and leaps at you to bite again. It's a game to her. Which is another thing, her excessive barking. She barks a lot. Again, if you yell "NO" or "stop" it doesn't work. She barks back, louder and it becomes an "argument!" It's almost funny... but very frustrating at times. She's the cutest hot head I've ever known! LOL... I've watched the Dog Whisperer and tried his tips for everything but nothing works. I may be her "pack leader" but SHE is her OWN boss! LOL...
It's gotten so frustrating with everything that I've contemplated several times, putting her back up for adoption... but I look at that face and just can't. She's too sweet that I just can't. I keep telling myself, she's just a puppy yet, I have to just keep working with her!
(Which I think is why the original people that took her, brought her back. The couldn't train her.)
I found out that one of our neighbor's has Kahlua's sister. Their's was potty trained shortly after they had her. I hear all these stories of well behaved, potty trained Shiranians... makes me wonder if I just got the brat! LOL...
