Kitke - Shiranian

I have a Shiranian, about 18 months old. I was going to go for a Shih Tzu, but someone gave me Kitke as a gift. She is a delight and I have enjoyed her since she was a wee 6 weeks old. The 16 months was a little testy as we live in a city house and getting in and out to a garden was a problem, but now that she is more grown-up we go for walkies every few hours, so there are no more accidents in the home. One thing I have noticed with her is that she has a delicate stomach if we change dog foods so I have her on a high protein natural dog food. She loves banana, apple, and peaches, nuts, and all melons. She loves things that squeak and if given the chance, will squeak toys till one almost has a nervous breakdown with the noise.

She hates being brushed so she gets sent to the parlor every couple of weeks. These dogs are a great breed of their own. I have friends who have Shih Tzus and Shiranians have triple the personality I think.

When we decided to add a 2nd dog to our family, we decided it would be another pomeranian. Well, after getting what we thought was a great deal, we paid the owner $200 and took our new pomeranian puppy home. Only to find out as she grew that she's actually a shiranian. I started to feel duped and cheated and realized we are so attached to her and love her so much that we didn't get cheated at all. The lady had 15 pomeranian dogs and 1 Shih tzu male that she claimed was fixed. She had 2 litters of puppies and we picked the cutest and sweetest one. She did lie to us, but we wouldn't take her back for anything! And now that I see your beautiful Kitke, I feel even better! She's a beautiful dog!

Just saw picture of Kitke. It looks just like my Lola. she has to have her hair cut every 3 months - does yours, too?
