i have a 13 year old pomeranian, black female, who has a honking cough, that was originally diagnosed as a collapsed trachea and is now diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse.
she is currently being "treated" with torbutrol (15 mg a day).
i am finding that her coughing is increasing and extended in duration.
i am wondering if anyone has any ideas for how to manage the coughing fits in addition to administering torbutrol.
