Molly - Pom-A-Pug

We can see a lot of the characteristics of both breeds in Molly. She tends to be a bit leery of strangers, and barks at new people. She doesn't take very long to warm up, though. Once she accepts you, she loves you with everything she's got. If we give our other dog attention, she will literally DIVE into our laps to get her share. When playing with other dogs, she'll check out the situation first, but she loves playing too much to be left out for long. When she gets excited - eating or walking time - she'll jump in the air and spin. She also squeels when she gets really happy/excited, like when we come home or if the cat decides to play with her.

Before she was rescued, she had been suffering from neglect, and ended up with a pretty serious case of demodicosis, which caused most of her hair to fall out. When we got her from the rescue, most of her hair had grown back, but we're not sure if her undercoat will grow back also. It looks like it's starting to grow back, so she might end up "fluffier" than she is now. Right now, she looks like a "fuzzy" pug with an "unsquished" nose. Her body shape isn't as stout as a pug, but she's a LOT bigger than a Pomeranian (23 lbs).

We've really enjoyed Molly. She's full of playfulness, and so anxious to please.
