My 2 yr old Pomeranian keeps peeing in the house!

I have a 2 year old (male not fixed) Pom who pees on the furniture, kitchen rugs, bath mats, shoes, etc... He has no problem letting us know when he has to go out & he will pee & poo outside but, everytime I leave he pees on something. We have starting kenneling him with a baby gate by the back door. He has no problem not peeing there unless we are gone a long time. If i happen to leave for a few mins. and another family memeber is home he will pee on something if they are not in the room with him. What can i do? HELP!

My Pom - Simba was the same way. But he would go outside and on the pad in the Kitchen corner. He just passed on yesterday - Dec. 17, 2010. I loved him sooo much. It will surely be a while before I get another dog.

been neutered and still peeing

My pom was neutered at 9 months old as he was having a pee while left alone.The peeing stopped for a while but he is at it again and he is now 21 months old.I think it's a behaviour isue.

I have been told by the vet that if they are not nutered they pee all over on things to "Mark" their territory. Sometimes nutering will help but usually at a younger age it is more sucessful. I would say to crate your pet or get him neutered to see if it helps. I wish you sucess...Mary
