My 3 year old pom is scared of my boyfriend

My 3 year old pom moved in with me, my boyfriend and two other dogs about 2 months ago. She is great with the other dogs, but is very scared of my boyfriend. She stays in the bathroom whenever he is home and when I try to bring her out of there she looks at him puts her tail and ears down and jets back to the bathroom. He tries to pet her and play with her but she does not respond back. What can I do to get her more comfortable?

Your boyfriend needs to keep trying to pet her. Perhaps you pet her and then he can with you. He should also feed her. This shows that your boyfriend is there to protect her and not harm her. He can also walk her. Baby steps... treats also work when she is good.
