My year and a half Pom won't get up or eat

What could possibly be wrong with him, last night he was perfectly fine, he ate, drank and played all day long normally. This morning when we tried getting him out of his kennel he wouldn't walk out of it, he has been laying in the same spot ever since. He wouldn't even get up to eat or go to the bathroom. The reason he has to go into the kennel at night is because he is constantly eating things if unsupervised. I am with him all day long and did not see him eat anything bad yesterday. I put a piece of his food to his mouth and he couldn't even chew it up even though he tried. He normally will be the one that has to have all the attention, since I also have a 2 yr old female, but today he is so weak he just lays there. I am so worried that something is really wrong with him. Thank you.
