Occasional soft stool

I got my 4 months old Pomeranian about 1.5 months ago. She had really bad diarrhea for about 3 weeks after i got her.

I took her immediate to the vet when i saw diarrhea about 3 days after getting home. The first vet that i went to (a vet with really good reputation) couldn't determine the reason for the diarrhea (stool test from the lab came back negative for worms) and just prescribe her some antibiotic. That didn't help at all and just made it worse.

I took her to a second vet about 5 days later. Still can't determine the cause (second stool test came back negative again). This vet gave me another antibiotic for 10 days and it cleared it right up. The vet suspects that she might be allergic to corn.

It have been 2 weeks now after the antibiotic. She had solid stool for the 1st week and starting last week, she will occasionally have soft stool (once to twice a day. The rest of the time her poo are solid). Is this normal or could she be still sick? Could it be the food that she is eating? She is on Blue Buffalo Chicken Puppy food now (No Corn or by-product and I only give her freeze-dried chicken piece as her treat). Should i switch to a different brand of food and try?

Did you give a different food than the person who you bought the dog from? Often a change in food will trigger soft stool or diareaha. Maybe your vet can suggest a special food. My vet sold me 2 cans of food when my dog had bloody mucus diareaha. It was not caused from food but it did help to get over it of course he gave an antibiotic for the bloody mucus. It was just an intestonal bug of some kind...but changing food will cause it also. After one can of the food along with the antibiotic my dog was back to normal again.
