My pom is 7 years old and we took her to the vet for a check up and they gave her the vaccine for kennal cough and every since then she has had this bad cough and hacking. Could she have gotton kennal cough from the vaccine?
I agree with the above comment. It's common for pomeranians to have a collapsed trachea problems. It's due to so many careless breeders inbreeding dogs for profit instead of breeding to better the pom breed. It can be a serious problem depending on the dog. Also poms are known to have bad allergies. I would go see a vet - honestly.

Has anyone checked her trachea for colapsing? My pom has 2 stints in his because it was totally colapsing which is a trait of smaller breed dogs. And dont forget it is allergy season!
