Pom breeding sizes

I have a female pom that is a little over 2 lbs and a male pom that is 6lbs. I am planning on having him fixed when I have the money, but right now is tough. I am trying to keep them seperated when she is in heat for now, but I wanted to ask just in case. Is it safe for poms to breed if there is that much of a size difference? Thanks for any help...

NO NO NO!

The male should never be bigger than a pound or two of the female. This will cause complications. She is way too small to breed, it will most likely kill her.

Female must be larger

Never breed a female with a larger dog, even if it is only a smaller bit larger. It is dangerous for the female.

you shouldn't breed your female if she is smaller than 4lbs.

I believe so. why such a difference though? that has something to do with it. is it that he is just fat or she is naturally that tiny? I believe it should be ok. if youre still unsure ask your vet. :)
