pom hair loss

My 5yr old female pom is losing her hair. I took her to the vet. many tests later the vet said she found nothing and it was probably genetic. she always had thin hair and no under coat so she only showed once as a pup. now her rear legs and butt are showing more and more skin.the rest of her is thin all over too. she is of course the sweetest and smartest pom I've ever known of. I'm thinking could it be stress. she doesn't seem stressed maybe a bit hyper. this has been going on a few months and seems to be moving quickly from bad to worse and I'm afraid with cold weather coming. any suggestions besides a sweater would be so appreciated, Barb B. westbrookville ny
