Pom yelps from touching or picking up at random

We have a 9 year old Pomeranian that has recently started yelping at random when you touch her or try to pick her up. This comes and goes more frequently now. Also she will just be laying on the couch and she shakes, also at random.

Any thoughts please would be greatly appreciated.
