If I purchase or adopt a pomapoo puppy with a big Pomeranian puffball coat, since it is non-shedding, will it keep it's 'puppy coat' and be a puffball as an adult?
Hi there, I actually have a pomapoo that I adopted from a rescue group and when I first got him he had the gorgeous pomeranian coat. However, after his puppy uglies he now has a coat that resembles that of a toy poodle. If you're looking at a pomapoo, I really hope you look at rescues and not a pet store or backyard breeder and remember that they're essentially a mutt, so really anything goes. I've seen pomapoos that look more like poms and some (like mine) that look more like a poodle...whenever looking at a mixed breed dog it's important to note that they are essentially mutts and can have the characteristics of either parent.

Pomapoo is not a real breed. by: Anonymous
Anyone breeding a 'Pomapoo' is a back yard breeder and you should RUN far far away. They are NOT non-shedding - this is a gimmick to get you to buy their mutt. If you want a mixed breed dog, go to the shelter and adopt one. There are MILLIONS of dogs being killed every year simply due to the fact that there are not enough homes for them all. No one need to be breeding MUTTS.
