Pomeranian Dragging Butt After Grooming

Please tell me this is normal or not. My baby will not walk without dragging her butt on the ground after I had her groomed. Is this normal?

My groomer and I have decided that mine drags butt around for a day or so when he is shaved closer than usual. I wonder if it itches, or burns? So we don't go quite as short on his hind quarters anymore, although the shorter the hair, the less matting and having to wipe his hiney. I'd rather be put out than have him feeling discomfort, so whatever Tucker "tells us" he wants, that is what he gets... and too short on the bottom is a no no in his case. Hope this helps?

Is a problem with their Anal glands.

Answer to dragging butt

I have a pom terrier mix and after I buzz his butt, he will drag it about 3 times or less. His vet said it was normal for him to do so because of the friction from the buzzer. Or you may ask your vet because it could be a dirty anal glands.
