Pomeranian Falling over

My mother in law has a 7 year old male pom and he will just fall over. What could be wrong with him?

Give your POM Nutri-Cal
by: Anonymous

When a Pom has low blood sugar it will have seisures or about to have one. You can rub Nutri-Cal on his gums to help. I give my a small dab every morning of Nutri-cal it has great vitamins in it for them and also good for older dogs.

Hope your Pom is okay.

She may have low blood sugar. That was our case. Try giving her gatorade.

Pomeranian falling down
by: Katie

We just rescued a 7-yr-old pom and he started having those episodes of falling down too. When that happens he also drools and urinates a tiny bit. Looks like a seizure to me, but I'm an EMT for people, not dogs. Any advise? Is this normal for small dogs?

Pomeranian falling over

My sister-in-law has a Shi-shu that does that and she had him extensively checked at several vets and they think it is a form of seisures. Sometimes meds help and sometimes not. Try your vet....maybe he can help your dog with some meds for seisures. Good luck to you and your dog. Mary
