I just bought my miniature pom she is a girl and spayed, she is absolutely adorable but the person i bought her from was not very clear. she is home with us, and she has run and hid in a corner and there is something wrong with her hind legs, she doesnt want us to touch them . I don't even know how old she really is. I love her to death already but should i be concerned?

patallar Luxation in poms
by: Anonymous

Hi
I also have a Toy Pom he is 3 years old now I too had a similar problem with my guy, he started to limp on his back legs. I took him to be checked at the vet and he diagnosed him with Patallar Luxation. it is hind leg disorder toy poms get cause they are jumpers it is almost like their hind knees lock up on them if they jump too much.
I found a article online and it says it is hereditary to the breed.
Try typing this condition in the browser and see if you can read up on this.
I hope that helps you and your new addition.
