Pomeranian hip issues

my 9 month old little female after a little play lifts her left rear leg and hobbles on 3 but still wants to play\. she seams touchy at her hip, any sugestions?

My pomeranian has the exact same problem. No joke. If she plays really hard she lift her one leg and hobble but she still wants to play. I took her to the vet because I was worried. The vet said she had an extracted patella which is extremely common in little dogs, especially of this breed. I think there is three or four stages of it? It can get progressively worse and possibly even lead to surgery. But the progression can be prevented by just keeping an eye on it and keeping the dog at a healthy weight.

Limping Pom

Yes my eight year old pom has the same issue we took him out to play and then later that night the one rear leg was up and he was hobbling then the next day the second rear leg was up and he has been like this for a couple of days he does not appear to be in pain but I am concerned will he be fine?
