Pomeranian Potty Problems

Hello I just got a pom the other day. So i am new to having one and new to being a dog owner. For the most part he is really well behaved (well the best he can be for a puppy:) But here is my problem. He will not go to the bathroom outside. He will start barking and grab his leash like he needs to use the bathroom which is really smart but when i take him out he will not go. I have even had him outside for almost an hour and a half and he didnt go the bathroom, but the second we came in the house he used the bathroom. Im almost positive this is happening because the lady i got him from trained him on a pad so he thinks he is supposed to go in the house. Is there anyway i can break him from thinking he should go in the house, and train him to use the bathroom outside. Thanks for reading!

A smart thing to do is take a pad with you when you go outside. The fact that he knows to go on that will slowly train him to go outside. Also, when he goes, say a command. I say "Hurry Up". Also, try and crate train him, if he doesn't go when you take him out put him in the crate for 15 minutes and try the process all over again. Pomeranians are known to be a lot harder to train, so just keep at it. I know I just got my 3 month old pom to not poop in his crate, peeing is a different story, but I'm taking any improvement. Good luck!
