Pomeranian puppy seems big

I just got an 8 week old Pom puppy that is purely black. I saw his parents, and dad is black with a white chest and about 8 lb. Mom is purely black and about 6 pounds. My puppy is already 4.4 lb. The vet said he is probably going to be big. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea approximately how big he might get. He is from a litterof 3 and it's his moms first litter. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I take their weight at 4 months and double that.

They usually gain weight quickly at first, and then slow way down till about a year old. They then gain a little more weight their 2nd year.

My pom is a little over size, and weighs 8 pounds.

I also have a crested puppy and he is going to go over as at 4 months I am guessing he is 8 pounds and 12 inches tall. He is supposed to be 13 inches tall and that's it, so i know he is just going to be big boy. Since he is just a pet and not a show dog it does not matter.

He looks just like my pom Hamlet. They are the same size. Hamlet only weighs 2lbs.
