Pomeranian puppy won't let people pet her.

I have a problem with my 2 and a half month female pomeranian puppy. everytime i try to pet her head or body, she always go all mouthy at my hand and try to play bite at my fingers.

this behavior has also made grooming almost impossible for her since she always chase the brush energetically. I've tried to give her treats during emergency grooming session, but it's still not working very well to distract her obsession on everything that touch her body.

what can i do? I've met my friends pom puppies and they're doing just find in response to petting and handling.

oh yeah, my puppy also seemingly has boundless energy and very active. she moves and run very fast!

Hi Silvi, My Little dog is a cross pom/cavalier and she behaved very much the same as your little one is. I found it almost impossible to groom her then i decided i would wait until she was tired and see if that had any affect. This went well as she was too tired to fight me and after a little while got used to being groomed.
She is now just on 12 months old and is fine and loves her bath and brush. I think just a little patience and lots of discipline is the answer. Good luck and let us know how she goes. Good luck. Marilyn
