My 13 year old pomeranian just started not being able to hold him self when he needs to go to the bath room he can't lift his leg up to pee and today looks off balance and limping. Is he dying?
Poms are noted for having their joints come out of the sockets, especially at the knee. I had a pom, red, for 11 years. My vet was treating him for arthritis and both his hip joint were out of place. He had black skin disease caused by him being groomed with the tools not being sterile. Also, after his hips were dislocated, he couldn't run and walk so when he got a cold it would go into pneumonia. He also developed kidney stones. He passed on his birthday 12/23/11. I miss my little Simba. But when they can't walk have their joint x-rayed.

Bad legs by: Dan
My Pom got where she would come home after being at the groomer and not be able to walk for two or three days. She now cannot support herself at all. The vet gav her a steroid shot that helped for two days. He gave her steroid pills and that did nothing. She can move her legs, but they will not support her.
