Pomeranians and large dogs

I have a nine month old black lab and I would like to get a Pom. I want a smaller dog. Will this be a problem with my black lab?

I have a seven month old Pomeranian male, named Clark. He is AKC registered and an absolute treat to have. However, I just moved to the SF area and with my new work schedule and living situation I’m unable to give him the care he deserves.
