Pom's coat has gotten dull & tenses his stomach up when touched.

My Pom started gaining weight aprox. 3yrs. ago, when we got another pom., which we started measuring food etc.
He also eats feces anytime he has the chance, we do clean up yard daily & have tried pills...didn't work.
But our #1 problem is that he tenses his stomach up & it seems very hard.
#2 His coat also has become very dull, which he had a show quality coat before.
We have taken him to many vets & they don't see anything wrong, I have asked for ultrasounds & blood work. They only do blood work & all is good.
Any ideas?
We also want them on the best food. I was told by our main vet. that Iams was the best, but we then switched to Royal Canine now we are using Blue for small breed. What is the best type of dog food that you have found for your pets?
