Should I breed my Pom/Pom Mix?

Hi there - I have 2 gorgeous Poms (Samson & Zolah) Neither have papers but both had DNA tests and Sammy is pure pom while Zolah is a Pom/Spitz X. I had hoped to breed Zolah at least once as they say its better for the dog to have one litter. I'm not sure if this is true! I've been reading up on breeding and there seem to be quite a few horror stories online about Moms and pups dying. It would break my heart if anything were to happen to Zolah. So now I don't know what to do. My husband is keen to breed them - its the only reason he allowed me to have 2 dogs!
I have attached their photo's and would really appreciate some feedback!
I've tried to upload pics but it keeps telling me photos are too big? Not sure how to sort this. They are both sable in colour. Samm is more redish and Zolah is very blond.

WHY?
by: Maya

The question you need to ask yourself is WHY do you want to breed your pom? To make some quick cash? Then the answer would be no..
Breeding is hard work. If you dont want to be labelled as a backyard breeder, there are many things to concider. Personally I'm against cross breeding. And if your pom's aren't registered, then you shouldnt breed. You dont have any information about your dogs family history (diseases etc). Also you need to do a full health check on both your dogs (expencive). Many poms have trouble giving birth, and you may need help from a vet (expencive). When the puppys are born you have to take them to the vet for a few check ups(expencive), train and prepapre them for new homes.. This is hard work... Unless you just want to sell nervous, unsocialized, unhealthy puppy's.
