We got Snickers when he was only 8 weeks old. When we went to the pet store, my mom wanted a small, female puppy. All of the females that day were either bigger breeds, or already on hold. As we were about to leave, i saw the cutest little puppy! His head was cocked to the side and he was staring straight at me! i convinced my mom to at least play with him, so we took him in one of the play rooms. After a few minutes, she reluctantly said that we would get him. She knew that she loved him! Once we got him home, I knew he was going to be perfect. He was (and still is) super playful and sweet. He's also very smart! Within three days he went to the paper 100% of the time. The only problem started when we started trying to get him to go outside. It took a bit longer, but now he's pretty much got it. He's also learned sit, stay, high five, "gimme' kiss" and he knows to stop what he's doing when we say "no". He loves meeting new people. The only problem is he likes jumping all over them. So now we are trying to teach him "down" so he doesn't make people feel uncomfortable. He doesnt bark much at all. Even when the neighbor's dogs bark at him, he just sits and watches them. He loves to explore everything, usually by trying to eat it! The picture with the blue M&M is him hanging out in my room at 12 weeks. The picture on the tiled floor is him at 16 weeks, 6.9 pounds, a few days after his first haircut. He doesn't shed right now and we are hoping he will stay that way! I love Snickers to death! I'm so glad that we got him, he's perfect for my mom and I. I hope to get another Shipom (or Shiranian) someday in the future.
