Snowy - german shepherd & pomeranian mix

When we decide to buy a dog we particulary wanted a pom for its white snow like attractive appearance. At the first being a little baby the dog appeared like a baby pom but in the due course of nearly 9 months the dog suddenly gained lot of height that was beyond expected pom's height and had not that long hair as compared to actual pom so it was clear that it was not apomeranian dog. His ears were not erect, they were bend giving him a very cute look but his dominating white fur encouraged us to name him snowy. Pom's are believed to be peevish in nature but this dog turned out to be quite a friendly one not to the masters alone but also to strangers. He has been very lucky for our family. At first appearing to be a mix of stray breeed and a pom this dog has emerged to be an adorable pom/german shepherd mix. He is really friendly, sweet, affectionate, compassionate and responsive. He is a part of our family,my little bro!!

Pom mixes
by: Amanda

Pomeranians aren`t mean! My pure bred black Pomeranian is VERY friendly! And Poms aren`t just white! They come in almost all colours, and blond is the most popular, black is next to that.

I got my pom shephard mix from a lady who said she was a pomapoo (pom-poodle mix). Turns out shes not, shes got all the markings of a german shephard but is shaped exactly like snowy. The vet said she will get to about 20 or so pounds...she said as a general rule the weight at 4 months doubled will be the weight full grown. She is sooo playful and loves to be around people. She is very stubborn and sheds but is the best dog I could ever hope for. If you are considering a pom german shephard, I fully recommend it!

I brought her home from a shelter where I'm a volunteer.

If you want to see her, she's on my website, johnviscontimusic.com...click on the "woof" button on the homepage.

She is sweet, wonderful, smart...just a great dog.

I think we've found the answer!

We got our puppy at 2 months old from the local humane society and have been DYING to know what kind of dog she might be! She looks exactly like Snowy, only black and tan. She is now about 4.5 months old and weight about 17 lbs. Can anyone give me an approximate weight she will be when full-grown? Any insight would be so helpful!

curious about parents
by: Lizann

can anyone tell me if it is possible for a male german shep. and female pom to mate? I'm a little worried. We haven't neutered our shep yet and I didn't realize that the pom was in heat. I think they may have "gotten together" and I'm worried about her.

Our Mix
by: Talie

We have the same mix puppy! She is very sweet, smart and playful. People are always asking us what she is so we decided to give her a "designer" dog name. She's a Geraniam (get it..like the flower?) :)

Our German Shepherd/Pomeranian Mix
by: Koda's Parents

We have the same mix, named Koda, but she has the Black and Tan Markings. She is one of the most even tempered dogs I've ever had, and is extremely playful. We just wanted to send a note out there that we love our mix and hope that more people pick up on this wonderful hybrid.
