Spaying and Violence in Pomeranians?

I have raised Pom's for 30+ years and this year I decided to have all my dogs spayed and neutered and just let them live out the rest of there lives without having any more puppies. One of the females was 9 months old at the time- the youngest. I had her in the run in my kennel along with a couple of other 3 year old females. These dogs had been together from birth and the youngest one had been with them from birth.

Approximately 2 months after I had them spayed, I placed the then 11 month old back in the run with the other females. She proceeded to attack and nearly kill one of the 3 year olds. In all my time of raising Pom's I have never seen this. The 3 year old has survived, but is now suffering from brain trauma epilepsy. I found another home for the younger Pom - someone with no children or other dogs, but I would still like to know if the spaying had anything to do with this viscious attack???

I'm not sure but I know with people you can get behavior changes after surgery due to the anesthesia. This may have been the case with your pom.
